On a Linear Diophantine Problem of Frobenius
Let a1, a2, . . . , ak be positive and pairwise coprime integers with product P . For each i, 1 ≤ i ≤ k, set Ai = P/ai. We find closed form expressions for the functions g(A1, A2, . . . , Ak) and n(A1, A2, . . . , Ak) that denote the largest (respectively, the number of) N such that the equation A1x1 + A2x2 + · · · + Akxk = N has no solution in nonnegative integers xi. This is a special case of...
متن کاملa new type-ii fuzzy logic based controller for non-linear dynamical systems with application to 3-psp parallel robot
abstract type-ii fuzzy logic has shown its superiority over traditional fuzzy logic when dealing with uncertainty. type-ii fuzzy logic controllers are however newer and more promising approaches that have been recently applied to various fields due to their significant contribution especially when the noise (as an important instance of uncertainty) emerges. during the design of type- i fuz...

xn = ({nα1}, . . . , {nαs}) , n = 0, 1, . . . , where {u} is the fractional part of u ∈ R. It is well known that the sequence x0,x1, . . . is uniformly distributed in I = [0, 1] if and only if 1, α1, . . . , αs are linearly independent over Q, and that the finer quantitative description of the distribution behavior of this sequence depends on the diophantine approximation character of the point...
متن کاملA Note on a Ramsey-Type Problem for Sequences
Two sequences {xi}i=1 and {yi}i=1 of distinct integers are similar if their entries are order-isomorphic. Let f(r,X) be the length of the shortest sequence Y such that any r-coloring of the entries of Y yields a monochromatic subsequence that is also similar to X. In this note we show that for any fixed non-monotone sequence X, f(r,X) = Θ(r2), otherwise, for a monotone X, f(r,X) = Θ(r).
متن کاملOn a Geometrical Interpolation Problem
Given a finite set of points A in R and a geometrical pattern Φ we define a type of distance between A and Φ and study how to find a pattern Φ among a parametrized family of geometrical objects such that such a distance is minimum. Mathematics Subject Classification: 41A29
